Eleftheria Moustaka, MSc Abnormal & Clinical Psychology, Greece

Eleftheria Moustaka

"I completed my Bachelor’s degree at the department of Psychology at Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences, Athens and chose to continue my studies at Swansea University as it was one of the most well-known universities across Europe offering the MSc Abnormal and Clinical Psychology with well-known professors such as Professor Rodger Wood and Paul Bennett.

The fact that there was a broad variety of modules within the College of Human and Health Sciences gave me the chance to enhance my learning as well as the fact that I could do voluntary work at the Central Clinic.

Throughout the course I gained a broad understanding of different disorders in psychology, completing modules at the same time at DACE (Department of Adult Continuing Education) on CBT. I could not have made a better choice. I have enjoyed each and every moment. I keep thinking and missing Swansea and all of my amazing Professors.

Since completing the course I am now teaching as an Adjunct Professor at the Hellenic American College in Athens on the MSPsy Programme of Psychology. In addition I have my private practice working with adults and adolescents and also work as a Scientific Associate at iatronet Greece, Psychology Now and Mednutrition Greece.  Moreover, I offer psychoeducational groups in large companies (stress management and anger management courses). I also take part in some TV shows and Webtv shows as a Clinical Psychologist discussing different issues.

I would definitely recommend the course to all those psychology students who want to gain a broad understanding and insight in clinical psychology. Students please do not give up on your dreams. Even though it may seem difficult (I can totally understand that as I live in Greece) follow your dreams!"
