A group of students from the College of Human and Health Sciences Psychology Department are set to scale the dizzy heights of Swansea’s 120 ft Civic Centre for charity.
Joshua Hale, who is studying for an MSc in Psychology, and five of his fellow students will take part in the charity abseil on 7th December to raise money for the Discovery Siavonga Partnership Scholarship Scheme and SOS Africa.
Joshua said: “The Swansea Siavonga Scholarship Scheme is to support children and young people in Siavonga, Zambia.
The scholarship scheme intends to further the work of Siavonga Nutrition Group and Swansea Siavonga Partnership by assisting needy widows and orphans in Africa.
Supporting the education of achieving children will to enable them to fulfil their potential and generate income to sustain their families. Part of the money raised will also be going to SOS Africa's education program.”
The team, known as Santa’s Little Helpers, is made up of Joshua Hale, Laura Winstanley, Rachel Walsh, Hannah O'Brien, Zoe Dodson and Janétt Sulieman.
