Swansea University’s College of Human and Health Sciences is celebrating success after achieving top ten places in three of its subject areas in the Complete University Guide 2016 listings.
The Complete University Guide 2016 which came out in April identified that:
- Social Work was ranked 8th out of 77 institutions
- Complementary Medicine (Osteopathy) was ranked 1st out of 14 institutions
- Aural and Oral Sciences (Healthcare Science – Audiology) was ranked 3rd out of 23 institutions
Overall, Swansea University was ranked 45th out of 126 universities in the UK.
Another area in the Guide where Swansea excels is producing high calibre, global graduates that are attractive to potential employers as evidenced by our continued top 20 ranking for Graduate Prospects.
In addition, when ranked by Research Quality, Swansea University has once again been recognised as a top 30 research institution with an impressive ranking of 24th in the UK - up 23 places on last year, highlighting the quality, scale and impact of our world leading research.
This expertise in research has been recognised by the Higher Education Funding Council for England which recently asked Swansea University to join an elite group of 20 universities advising HEFCE on Research Excellence in the fields of English Language and Literature in the UK-wide Research Excellence Framework.
Professor Ceri Phillips, Head of the College of Human and Health Sciences said: “It is very pleasing to note the positions of three areas within College of Human and Health Sciences in the Complete University Guide League Table produced earlier this week.”
