"I have really enjoyed the placements. Being on placement translates to your ‘real world job’ as a Paramedic that you're aiming to get when you finish the course. I have had placements all over Wales, From Wrexham and Llanidloes in the North, Pembrokeshire in the West and down to Swansea and Cardiff in the South. I have experienced a wide range of settings from ambulance placements to palliative care wards, maternity units, theatres and community mental health settings and have equally learnt a wide range of clinical skills in all areas."

Meet Anthony...

“The course is very challenging, and it should be, as the responsibilities of a paramedic are great. However, I enjoyed the fact the course pushed me, developed me and provided the core skills needed for the job. There are many qualities a good paramedic needs to possess and top of the list is the ability to remain calm and in control of any situation. This is achieved through excellent communication skills... If you can communicate clearly then you can help those that need it. I now work in Pembrokeshire as a Paramedic and have a role in the Army Reserves as a Defence Paramedic.”
