The University of Massachusetts Amherst (aka UMass) is a public research and land-grant university in Amherst, a town in the Connecticut River valley. If you want to take up fitness while at UMass, they have plenty of facilities for you, including a Recreation Centre, gymnasium, handball/squash courts, tennis courts and pools, as well as their many sports teams, known as the Minutemen and Minutewomen. Support any sporting events by wearing their signature colours, maroon, black, and white and enjoy their school mascot, Sam the Minuteman.
