United International College (UIC)

Students studying together

UIC is located just outside Zhuhai in China, it is a short distance from Macau and students are able to access Hong Kong via Ferry. Zhuhai experiences long hot and humid summers with frequent thunderstorms and short mild and dry winters. Accommodation on campus is available for students and your room mate will meet you on your arrival in China.

It will not be possible to complete a year abroad at this University if you have any assessments, such as supplementary or deferred exams, during the August assessment period at Swansea University.

Who can study here?

We have a college-wide partnership with this university and spaces are allocated to departments annually. If you are studying abroad in 2021/22, your department will confirm the destinations available to you. If you are unsure of your options, either contact your department or the Go Global team.

Important Considerations

  • You will need to apply for a study visa and will need to do so immediately after you receive the JW202 form and invitation letter sent by the UIC International Development Office. 
  • All international students will be housed on UIC's main campus. 
  • No meal plans are offered but there are several canteens and restaurants on and around campus. 
  • You will be responsible for costs including accommodation, local transport, food, books/supplies etc.
