Short Courses and Closed Groups

ELTS has many years of experience in the design and delivery of tailor-made programmes for groups.

We work with agents, group leaders, schools, universities, and training organisers to create courses which meet your specialist needs and wants. The content and duration of your bespoke course can be specified by you or designed in collaboration with us.

ELTS is your ideal partner for a tailor-made course for teenagers and young adults. We create bespoke closed group courses for schools, group leaders, and English Plus courses which combine English and an area of special interest. Recent English Plus courses have included:

• Enjoyebre: a bespoke summer programme of English plus activities for a Spanish group.
• English plus projects for Chongqing University Of Technology (CQUT), China.

A typical programme includes English language tuition in the mornings and activities in the afternoon.  Courses usually include social events and excursions to local places of interest. Please see below to find out how to send us details of how we can help to design a course for you.

ELTS is your ideal partner for a tailor-made course for adults. We create bespoke closed group courses for adults. These can be based around our General English Programme or include more specialist fields, including intercultural competence training, teacher training, and work placements. As part of Swansea University, we have excellent links with academic departments and the wider community. Recent, closed group, adult courses have included:

• Intercultural Training for University of Boras, Sweden
• English Plus Work Experience Course for Jungewerkstatt, Hamburg
• Teacher Training Courses including TKT Practical assessments for Oxfam in conjunction with our CELTA Teacher Training team
• IELTS training for Swansea Bay Asylum Seekers Support Group (SBASSG) and Minority Ethnic Women’s Network, Swansea (MEWN)

One-to-one/In-company tuition

We can provide one-to-one tuition for individuals/small groups in-company upon request. Please contact us for more information.

Hourly charge £60

ELTS has a duty of care to safeguard all students aged under 18 in its care. ELTS will ensure the safety and protection of all under 18s enrolled on its programmes through adherence to the Safeguarding guidelines that we have adopted.

We will endeavour to ensure that under 18s are protected whilst studying at ELTS. We will do this by:

• making sure all staff are carefully selected and DBS checked.
• providing appropriate training for staff in issues of child protection.
• providing a dedicated Safeguarding officer who meets all under 18s on a weekly basis.
• taking attendance and monitoring student behaviour.
• ensuring that students are supervised during lessons and trips.
• adhering to the University Safeguarding Vulnerable groups policy.
• providing students with a 24-hour emergency contact number.
• providing each student with an under 18s handbook.
