About

After studying Classical languages, literature, culture and history at Swansea, Oxford, Edinburgh and Glasgow, and a decade of teaching Ancient Greek, Latin, Classical Civilisation and Ancient History to GCSE and A-Level, I joined the Department as Greek and Latin Language Tutor in September 2017.

In addition to teaching ancient languages, I convene the departmental School Placement module, which allows students to try their hand at teaching Classical Civilisation, Ancient History, Latin or Greek at local schools, while receiving an introduction to the theory and organisation of the teaching of Classical subjects at primary and secondary schools. I also run the Department’s annual Summer School in Ancient Languages, and am Assistant Director of the Joint Association of Classics Teachers (JACT) Greek Summer School at Bryanston.

I am happy to advise both current and prospective students on any aspect of the learning and teaching of Classical languages.
