About

I have over 30 years’ experience of working in the education sector.

During this time I have primarily taught physics. However, I have also taught electronics, engineering and science in a variety of English and Welsh medium schools. I was Head of Science in a large 11-18 secondary school, and have also led on many cross-curricular and whole school initiatives. Prior to working as a Physics PGCE lecturer in Initial Teacher Education I was a Science Adviser for the Welsh Government consortium ERW. During this time I provided bespoke support for science teachers at county and individual school level throughout the ERW region. I also currently work as an author and examiner for the Welsh Joint Education Committee (WJEC) science examinations.
