BSc Computer Science with Integrated Foundation, Developer Advocate, Veeqo

My Computer Science Foundation year was awesome. Not only did it give me an extra year at University but I learnt more on that year than any other. The Foundation year teaching sets you up well for the rest of the degree and the flexibility of the syllabus means you can learn more industry-relevant material.

The Tech industry in Swansea is booming at the moment. There is a huge amount of inward investment and companies are moving here from England.  I had experience working in industry through a SPIN placement scheme supplied by Swansea University and that experience helped me get four job offers.

I graduated with a first and I now work as a Developer Advocate for Veeqo, a local software start-up with 40 employees. The Foundation and my degree, as a whole, set me up perfectly for my dream job!
