The Department of Classics, Ancient History and Egyptology is a thriving research environment embedded in national and international networks of scholars. The Department is home to three research groups: KYKNOS, the Centre for Research in Ancient Narrative Literatures, OLCAP, the Research Group for Object and Landscape Centred Approaches to the Past, and (InEPWW). Interpreting Egypt’s Past in Wales and the World. Our research strengths are in: Greek and Latin Literature; Greek and Roman History and Archaeology; the Archaeology, History and Culture of Egypt and Nubia; Ancient Philosophy; Cultural Property Protection in Conflict Zones.
