Research Groups

Over 70% of our planet is covered by water; aquatic ecosystems are therefore vital to our survival. We conduct interdisciplinary research to advance our knowledge of both marine and freshwater environments at the subcellular to organism and ecosystem level, using a combination of observational, experimental and modelling approaches. This new knowledge in turns allows the society to better manage and sustain these vital ecosystems.

Facilities

Variety of microscopes, biosafety cabinet, growth chambers, a variety of analytical and field instruments.

Collaborative / Engagement Opportunities

Basic and applied research in both marine and freshwater systems
