How to Pay

Online payments

Step by step guide:

  • View your account.
  • Click the Financial Transactions tab on the left, you will then be given full details on how to make a payment. 
  • Accommodation fees will only be shown a couple of weeks prior to the due date. If you wish to pay upfront you can manually type in the amount you wish to pay. This will then be credited to your account.
  • Please ensure you tick the accommodation checkbox otherwise, the payment will go towards your tuition fees.

Did you know you can also:

  • Check your account balance at any time through your University Intranet Account for both accommodation & tuition fees. Accommodation fees will only be shown a couple of weeks prior to the due date. If you wish to pay upfront you can manually type in the amount you wish to pay. This will then be credited to your account.
  • Your account will only show what you owe 7 days prior to the due date.
  • Pay your accommodation fees online through your University Intranet Account. If you choose this option please ensure that the payment is made prior or on the payment date.

For Reservation deposits only, we ask that you pay through your Accommodation Account.

There is no charge for Credit or Debit cards.

In Full

Cheque payment form

For Reservation Deposits, we ask that you pay these through your Accommodation Account only.

Payment in advance for the full year

  • If you choose this option and wish to pay in full within the 7 days acceptance of your offer date, do not pay a reservation deposit.
  • If you wish to pay in full outside of the 7 day acceptance period then a reservation deposit will be required to confirm your accommodation.
  • Must be paid by 1st October.

How to pay.

  1. On-line through your Intranet Accounthttps://intranet.swan.ac.uk/login/  Click the Financial Transactions tab on the left. You will then be given full details on how to make a payment***.  Please ensure you tick the accommodation checkbox.
  2. Cheque: made payable to Swansea University and sent to Residential Services.  Must include student number on the reverse.  (F.05) Cheque Payment Form

If you set up a direct debit, no payments will be taken until the first rent payment is due in October. 

There is no charge for Credit or Debit cards.

Termly by Direct Debit

For Reservation Deposits, we ask that you pay these through your Accommodation Account only.

Termly by Direct Debit

  • You cannot pay for your Reservation Deposit with a Direct Debit!
  • Set up a Direct Debit online for termly payments to be made.  Set this up via your accommodation account.
  • Must be set up by 1st October. 
  • Please note all instructions will be sent to the students university email address.

You can set up a Direct to pay Termly for your accommodation 

  • 3 installments for contracts less than 47 weeks.
  • 4 installments for contracts over 47 weeks throughout the academic year. 

If you choose to settle your residence fees by this method, please note:

  1. Direct Debits must be submitted at least 3 weeks prior to the payment due date.
  2. We can only accept British Bank accounts. Savings accounts are not accepted as they will not allow a Direct Debit to be set up.
  3. Notification of accommodation fees and other charges will be sent to the student email account at least 7 days prior to the payment being collected.
  4. If you wish to cancel a Direct Debit you must inform us and also contact your bank.
  5. It is the responsibility of the tenant to check with the bank that the direct debit has been successful.

Problems Paying

If you experience financial problems or any trouble paying your accommodation fees or:

  • Have a query relating to your Invoice.
  • Have not received your Student Loan.
  • Are experiencing genuine financial hardship.

Please contact us prior to the due date, as this could prevent you getting a late payment charge of £50.00 applied to your account.
