Coronavirus: latest information

Information for Students

We recognise that the coronavirus outbreak is unprecedented and are therefore implementing special measures to support our students in the various circumstances that may arise as a result of the outbreak. We are monitoring the situation closely, so please check this website regularly to keep up to date with the latest advice.

Students please email myunihub@swansea.ac.uk with any queries related to the coronavirus.

Suspension of face to face teaching

The University is open however, due to the ongoing uncertainty with regards to Covid-19, we have decided to suspend all face to face teaching delivered via lectures and seminars to students from close of play Monday 16 March.

We will be moving to Online teaching from Monday 23 March. In practice some teaching may be delivered online earlier than this date, and academics can make individual arrangements with their students as appropriate. We are also planning for supervision for postgraduate research students to take place remotely.

Students will receive further information directly from their college or school about what this means for their programme of study.

The situation for medical and nursing students is different and for all courses leading to a professional registration in the Medical School or the College of Human and Health Sciences, students have been advised to wait for further information from their School or College.
