Research Degrees – PhD, MPhil, MA

The staff within the Department of Welsh-medium Media and Public Relations can directing research on the following areas: the history of Welsh film, theportrait of Wales on the screen, the role of women in the media, media policy, the history of television in Wales, Welsh animation, the TV drama, films and documentaries, children's programs, the medium of radio and digital media and social networking.

There are three Media research degrees available through the medium of Welsh, all of which require you to carry out original research on a specific topic .

 

Entry requirements for PhD are a first or upper second class honours degree (2:1), or equivalent, in a related subject. Applicants for M.Phil and Masters through research achieve a minimum of an upper second class honours degree (2:1), or equivalent, in a related subject. Studentd can register in Septmeber, January, April or July.
