Why Study War and Society?

The War and Society degree draws upon a diverse group of scholars and specialists in the departments of Political and Cultural Studies, History, Classics, and Modern Languages to explore war, culture and society and their interrelations. It examines the connections between military history, political science, moral and ethical debates, and cultural production as forces that have reflected and shaped human experiences, and the consequent representations and memories of war.
