At the last minute a copy of The Descriptive Ethnology of Bengal was found in the Tuite Dalton family which turned out to be Edward Tuite Dalton's proof copy of his own book. It is regretted that there has only been time to scan in one example of the notes he wrote himself and the text from the page the notes are on. If you look at the letters to his father you will see the same handwriting
