A number of rooms in the campus halls have been adapted in various ways to accommodate the needs of students with disabilities
Any student who has a disability, medical condition or specific need which may affect the allocation of accommodation is encouraged to contact the Disability Office Caseworkers as soon as possible.
Students with physical disabilities may spend the whole duration of their course at University in residential accommodation if they wish. Consequently, there is a limited amount of fully adapted accommodation. We strongly advise you to contact the Disability Office to discuss your requirements in advance of making an application to avoid disappointment.
For further information on halls, including cost and location, please look at Residential Services website here
A good starting point is to look at what is available. We are very happy to discuss your needs with you. Most halls have some adapted rooms. These are rooms which are bigger than the standard rooms and have been adapted for wheelchair users. We are very aware that these do not necessarily meet all needs and in some instances we may be able to make further adaptations to meet specific needs. If you need an adapted room or you are uncertain about which halls of residence would be the most suitable, please contact us.
