Why did you choose Swansea University?

I chose Swansea because the campus is very homely with incredibly friendly and supportive lecturers who go out of their way to offer help.

What do you like about your course?

My favourite thing about my degree is the variety of topics that you can study. You can study so many different aspects of the culture too not just the language.

What's the best thing about being a student at Swansea?

With so many amazing facilities all in the one place it's so easy to find what you're looking for - totally different to many other universities where everything is very spread out.

Did you manage to make new friends easily?

Absolutely yes. There are so many opportunities here to meet new people - not just in your halls of residence or on your course but through the many different clubs and societies that exist.

Did you join any clubs or societies here? If so did you enjoy?

Yes I did. I had the time of my life with the Welsh Society (Gym Gym). They hold so many different activities, fun nights and trips abroad for rugby games. I've been to Dublin & Paris and thoroughly enjoyed. I also joined the ladies football team. I made so many life long friends here and had so much fun, especially when we travelled to Spain during my first year. Best experiences ever!

How has Swansea prepared you for your future career?

Even though swansea is a very homely place, it has still raised my confidence and made me more independent. I've learnt many new skills during my time here so far and I'm positive they will be vital to any future success.

What is your best memory of Swansea?

There are hundreds! If I had to pick one however it would be my graduation day. It's so satisfying to see the culmination of 3 years of hard work pay off. And even though it was raining it was still one of the best days of my life.

What would be your advice for any students thinking about coming to Swansea?

Come and take advantage of all opportunities that are here - academic and social. It's so important to take advantage of all that a university has to offer and believe me Swansea offers a lot!
