Pick up your visa/Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) 

  • Bring your current passport and BRP collection letter entitling you to pick up your BRP card to study at Swansea University.

Register your passport and visa

  • Present your passport and visa/BRP card to confirm you are eligible to study at Swansea University
  • Your passport and visa details will be scanned and recorded as required by the UK Visas & Immigration authority. 

Confirm your sponsorship

  • If you are externally sponsored by your employer, trust or embassy, show your confirmation of sponsorship form or a letter from your sponsor with the equivalent details (a paper copy or email is acceptable).
  • If the University is paying towards your fees, make sure your bursary is authorised before you enrol
  • If you are a member of staff, hand in your Staff Bursary or Research Assistant Bursary form

Admissions entry qualifications

  • If Admissions requested you bring proof of your entry qualifications, bring your original certificates, for example, your Bachelor degree certificate.

After registration enrol online

  • Log in to the intranet to check your record and module selection
  • If you are self-funding, you will need to pay online by card at least 50% of your tuition fee

Online Enrolment Guidance

Who enrols online

All students are expected to login to the intranet and enrol online except students studying one of these courses:

  • Midwifery, Nursing, Paramedic Science, Cardiac Physiology, Respiratory and Sleep Sciences, Audiology, Nuclear Medicine and Radiotherapy Physics report to your College of Human and Health Sciences

If you are a new international non-EU student, then you need to register in person first before you enrol online

When to enrol

  • At the start of each year of your your course you will be expected to enrol. For the majority of students this will be when online enrolment opens from Monday 19 September onwards 
  • If you are an undergraduate on a year out, you can enrol from mid August.
  • If you are pursuing a course listed under Early and other Enrolment Events you need to enrol at other dates and times

How to enrol online

  • Login to the University Intranet, click on the green arrow and follow the step-by-step instructions
  • Make corrections to your personal details and check you course and entry qualifications
  • Confirm and select your modules as necessary. Browse module information on our 
  • If you have a 100% student loan or sponsorship, then you won't need to pay anything
  • Otherwise make an online payment by card or set up a direct debit when you enrol
  • Agree to the student declaration

Pick up your University ID Card

Pick up your new University ID card from one of these venues. You must be enrolled and bring proof of your identity for example, your passport, bus pass, driving licence, UK ID card or other photo ID.

IMPORTANT

  • If you have a student loan, after picking up your ID card the University will confirm your attendance which triggers the first student loan payment into your bank account.
  • If you are a new international student, to avoid being reported to the Home Office you must be enrolled and have your BRP and University ID cards.
