Biography

Mrs Rosemary Morgan was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court on 1 September 1969. Since that date she has worked in private practice, where she specialises in commercial law. She was a Senior Partner in a national law firm until 2002 when she left to form a niche commercial practice based in South Wales. She was a Senior Partner in that firm until it was incorporated in 2005 when she became a Director.

Mrs Morgan was a Non-Executive Director of West Glamorgan Health Authority from 1992 to 1996; Glanymor NHS Trust from 1996 to 1999; and Swansea NHS Trust from 1998 to 2002. Since 2005, Mrs Morgan has been Director of Morgan LaRoche Solicitors.

She was Chair of the Swansea City Centre Partnership Board (a private body/public sector body established to regenerate the City Centre of Swansea) from 2001 until that Board was recently dissolved in May 2013. Mrs Morgan continues to sit as a member of the Swansea Forum, an initiative established to create a formal link between the City and County of Swansea and the business community. She is also a Board Member of the Swansea Bay City Region Board.

Mrs Morgan is a co-opted lay member of the Council of Swansea University. She is also a member of the University Court and is Chair of the Audit Committee.
