Senior executive officers
The Vice-Chancellor is the University's principal academic and administrative officer. He provides leadership and strategic direction to the University, and is responsible for its financial sustainability. He is supported by a Senior Management Team with responsibility for specific activities within the University.
The Vice-Chancellor is the chief executive and principal academic and administrative officer of the University.
Registrar and Chief Operating Officer
The Registrar is the deputy chief executive and is the head of the University's professional, administrative and support services.
The University has four Pro-Vice-Chancellors, each of whom has delegated authority from the Vice-Chancellor for a specific area of the University's activities:
- Professor Iwan Davies - senior Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Estate and Internationalisation)
- Professor Hilary Lappin-Scott - Senior Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Research and External Recognition)
- Professor Steve Wilks - Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Student Experience)
- Professor Martin Stringer - Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Academic)

Heads of Colleges
The academic infrastructure of the University is based upon a structure of seven Colleges. Each Head of College has management and budgetary responsibility for the delivery of taught and research provision in their College.
Senior Administrative Managers
The work of the University is supported by ten Professional services. Each Senior Administrative Manager is responsible for ensuring efficient and effective professional, administrative and support services across the range of the University's activities.
The University Management Board
The University Management Board is the senior management and operational committee of the University. It consists of the Vice-Chancellor, the Pro-Vice-Chancellors, the Heads of Colleges, and representatives from the Senior Administrative Managers. The Board provides a forum for building common purpose across the institution and for advising the Vice-Chancellor and other senior officers of the University on matters relating to portfolio responsibilities. A range of committees and sub-committees supports the work of the Board.
