The Sir Stanley Clarke Auditorium - Key Facts

International Standard Acoustics

In order to create a modern, multi-purpose concert venue, specialist designers were employed to develop a variable acoustic system which would make the facility fit for both orchestral acoustic music and amplified events.

In its “natural” state the Sir Stanley Clarke Auditorium can accommodate recital, chamber music and performances, as well as rehearsals of orchestras of up to 50 pieces. The acoustics can be varied by means of movable drapes and banners which can reduce reverberance for amplified performances such as jazz and pop concerts and conferences.

Flexible Staging & Seating

The Sir Stanley Clarke Auditorium provides flexible staging which can be extended via temporary risers allowing it to accommodate an orchestra of up to 50 musicians. The retractable seating system developed for the auditorium means that it can be easily transformed into a fully flat-floored space which is perfect for exhibitions and dinners.
