The Great Hall - Background
At the heart of Swansea University’s new £450m Science and Innovation Bay Campus lies the Great Hall.
This £32m facility was designed by world renowned architect Dr Demetri Porphyrios as a multi-purpose space which aims to reach out beyond the campus to the wider community.
The Great Hall was designed to provide the University with a new home for the arts; and build on the existing cultural arts offering of theatre, dance, music, visual arts, craft and cinema provided by the Taliesin on the Singleton Park Campus.
The Great Hall provides the new ‘home venue’ for the University’s revitalised music programme, and a world class concert and conference facility for the local community and for Wales.
