The Festival features over 40 exhibition stands suitable for all ages, which are separated into six interactive zones. They are: Body & Mind, Gadgets & Gizmos, Planet Earth, Bug Hub, Material World, and Energy Zone. Drop by and expereience all things weird and wonderful!

Turn your Human Energy into a Hydrogen experience! Members of the public can explore their energy in a way never before imagined. Users donate energy via an exercise bike and watch in real time as that energy is stored as Hydrogen gas. They can then light their energy and observe a stable flame of pure hydrogen.   Energy
Everyone is fairly familiar with what a carbon footprint is, but do we really relate what we do in our day-to-day activities to the amount of CO2 we produce? Fun and games will help us explore and understand this exciting issue further.   Energy
See how science helps Wales to develop marine renewable energy. Families will learn about Swansea University’s work in environmental and marine wildlife research, underwater habitat observations, use of remotely controlled camera, and testing eco-friendly construction materials. Planet Earth
Find out, take part and understand better Big Data. This exhibition has three play zones which will show how research using data is benefiting health and wellbeing services and society in general. And three play zones means it will be fun!

Body & Mind

Across all forms of media we are bombarded by images every day. When we see images of people at work we tend to make an instant judgement about what is going on and who is in charge. This exhibition will explore how stereotypes about gender and age are reinforced through media images.   Body & Mind

Try your hand at undertaking an Older Peoples Environmental Residential Assessment Tool (OPERAT) with Virtual Reality; take a loneliness questionnaire; play with genetics beads and much more... Nanotechnology is science that manipulates manufactures and study materials and devices on the scale of nanometers (billionths of a meter). To give you an idea of how small that is, you can fit about 80,000 nanometers in the width of a single human hair! Come and find everyday things viewed in a whole new way. Material World
