Swansea University is in its third year of ISO 14001 Certification. 

Swansea is the first University in Wales to achieve the EcoCampus Platinum award. The System helps the University with its legal compliance, Green League score, Sustainability Strategy, and represents the first international standard that the University has achieved across all Colleges and administrative functions. Through EMS, the University manage its environmental impacts in areas like resource consumption, waste production, control on emissions, biodiversity, travel, construction & refurbishment and sustainable procurement.

Swansea University’s Sustainability Policy reflects a strong commitment towards sustainable development by preventing pollution risk to the environment and acquiring a sustainable approach in all the future projects. EMS has proved to be an effective tool for keeping the University compliant with all the legal requirements. The EMS covers all the products, services and operations of the University.
