Part-time study & the Department of Adult Continuing Education
The Department of Adult Continuing Education (DACE) offers part-time study opportunities in a wide variety of subject areas in the community as well as on campus. Widening access to higher education lies at the heart of DACE's ethos and they offer inspiring learning opportunities for everyone. About 90% of their delivery is community-based.
All courses and programmes at DACE are delivered part-time as they are aimed at people, who, because of work, family or other commitments, are not able to study full-time. So, regardless of what you wish to study - be it a stand-alone evening class or a BA (Honours) Humanities or an MA in Lifelong Learning, part-time study will allow you to fit studying in with other commitments.
DACE students come from many different walks of life. During the last 15 years over 300 people have graduated from the part-time BA Humanities, gaining a qualification which may aid careers development and providing a sense of achievement and self-fulfillment.
Each year, DACE supports over 6000 students. DACE recruits at several times throughout the year. Please visit the DACE website for regular news and course brochures or telephone +44 (0)1792 602211.
