Specialist Tuition for Academic Success

Specialist Tuition

Studying at university can be an opportunity to expand your horizons, enabling you to meet new people and learn new skills. Anything different and unfamiliar can be exciting but also daunting. The Specialist Tuition service understands the challenges and will work with students to develop strategies that will assist them both academically and personally.

We provide one to one specialist tuition to all students with Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA) or other funding streams, where a recommendation has been made in a Needs Assessment. This includes students with Specific Learning Difficulties, Autistic Spectrum Conditions, Wellbeing needs, Medical conditions and Disabilities. We will create an individual programme with each student based on their approach to learning, incorporating areas that they wish to develop e.g. effective study skills, combined with relevant assistive technology. We aim to release individual potential and encourage students to achieve their goals.
