Innovation and Engagement activities

  • Strategic Insight Programme - Youth Justice Board for Wales

In Feb 2013, I commenced a six month Strategic Insight Programme, working with the Youth Justice Board for Wales and the Welsh Government to develop a detailed understanding of youth justice policy priorities in Wales. The access to decision-making processes and structures granted to the researcher was consolidated by informal discussions with key stakeholders in YJB Cymru, YOS and Welsh Government. Following the presentation of findings and a formal report to the partner agencies, a longer term working relationship has been established and the reflective partnership is ongoing.

  • Swansea Youth Offending Team

I work closely with Swansea YOT, particularly the Performance Officer, to reflectively evaluate the development of their 'AssetPlus' self-assessment tool for children.
