Simone Bedford commenced her employment with Swansea University in 2004 and is based at our Carmarthen site. Simone is currently a Senior Nurse Lecturer and teaches a variety of subjects to both pre-registration and post-registration undergraduate nurses. She maintains the highest standards in nursing and education and is widely published. She maintains her continuing professional development and was presented the Distinguished Teaching Award in 2012.

  • SHG108 Introduction to Health Sciences

    This module will introduce the student to normal anatomy and physiology, as well as key sociological and psychological concepts.

  • SHG296 Elective and Trauma Orthopaedic Nursing

    This module aims to develop the knowledge, skills and attitude of the student working in either a trauma or elective orthopaedic setting. This is achieved through the exploration of care and management of patients with orthopaedic problems in a multi-disciplinary setting.
