I am an Erasmus Mundus joint PhD (SEED) student at the Zienkiewicz Center for Computational Engineering (ZCCE) in Swansea University, UK and at Laboratory of Computational Methods and Numerical Analysis (LaCáN) in Polytechnic University of Catalunya (UPC BarcelonaTech) in Spain.

My research focuses on the development of a Cell Centred Finite Volume Method (CCFVM) for the simulation of fast-transient solid dynamics in the open source code OpenFOAM. The momentum-strains mixed formulation that we employ overcomes a number of shortcomings (volumetric locking, shear locking, pressure instabilities etc.) posed by the conventional displacement based formulations in commercial Finite Element codes such as ANSYS AUTODYN, LS-DYNA, ABAQUS, Altair HyperCrash etc. To have more insight into my current work, please have a look at my website.
