I teach about politics and history in Spain from the 19th century to today, with a special interest in nationalism and regionalism. I specialise in the culture, politics and history of Catalonia. I also teach Spanish language.
I joined Swansea University in 1997 as a lecturer in the French section, before joining the Spanish section as a lecturer in Spanish in 2000. I have a keen interest in developing teaching through the medium of Welsh and co-founded CICC (Canolfan Ieithoedd Cyfrwng Cymraeg), the centre for the study of languages through the medium of Welsh.
