Tony has worked for Swansea University since January, 2007. Before then, he worked as a lecturer for six years with Marie Curie Cancer Care, a palliative care charity. As a nurse he specialised in ENT surgery. Within the School of Health Science Tony is module leader for the post-registration, undergraduate dissertation module (SHG303) taught on the School’s site in Carmarthen and module leader of the “Developing Programmes and Evaluation” module (SHGM52), part of the MSc award in Health Promotion. He also teaches psychology, research methodology, interpersonal skills/communication and manual handling skills to pre-registration, undergraduate nurses. Tony has an extensive background in communication skills training and research for nurses and clinicians, having worked with both Professor Leslie Fallowfield (CRUK) and Dr Susie Wilkinson (Marie Curie Cancer Care). He is also involved with several teaching practise developments within the School concerning the use of multimedia and e-learning.
