Dr Geoff Proffitt

Specialist Subjects: Applied wetland ecology: design and process within functional wetlands, optimisation of wastewater treatment and habitat value; integrated aquaculture; the use of wetlands and hydroponics in the treatment and re-use of waste material.

Recent applied projects:

The design and construction of wastewater treatment wetlands optimised to treat waste from 30,000 people equivalents; design and construction of a100 hectare multi-habitat wetland, optimised for waste treatment and habitat creation. The design and project management of a 80 hectare wetland restoration project, for the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust National Centre Wales.
