Professor PR Williams, CEng CPhys FInstP FIChemE, works in rheology and cavitation. For his rheometrical work, conducted under an EPSRC Advanced Fellowship (1990-95: 95-98), he received the British Society of Rheology’s Annual Award (1997) and a Royal Society Brian Mercer Award (in 2007). He is the leading author of over 100 papers. His work has also been supported by NSF (USA), NATO and industry and has consistently received EPSRC’s highest assessments. He currently leads an EPSRC Portfolio Partnership in Complex Fluids and Complex Flows.
