Dr Xinheng Wang

Dr. Xinheng (Henry) Wang is a senior lecturer in wireless communications at IAT. He graduated from Xi’an Jiaotong University with a BEng and an MSc degree in 1991 and 1994, respectively and obtained his PhD degree from Brunel University in 2001. He then worked as a post-doctoral research fellow at Brunel from June 2001. He joined Kingston University in 2003 as a senior research fellow and was promoted to a senior lecturer in June 2004. In September 2007 he joined the IAT to take up the senior lecturership. He is also a visiting professor at University of Electronic Science and Technology of China. 

His current research interests are wireless mesh and sensor networks, personal area networks, and their applications in healthcare. He is currently investigating several funded research projects, including EPSRC project ‘UniPAN: A Universal PAN Architecture for Monitoring Multiple Chronic Conditions (EP/E024734, 16 April 2007 - 15 April 2010, £207,954)’, China 863 project ‘WSN-Based Livestock Behaviour Monitoring and Healthcare System (2006AA10Z246, ¥500,000, Jan 2007 – Dec. 2008), and few projects in wireless mesh networks supported by industry. 1 RA and 4 research students are working in these areas under his supervision.
