Biography

Thomas Schramme is a philosopher by training and specializes in the philosophy of psychiatry, concepts of health and disease and ethical issues in health care. He is course director of the MA Medical Humanities and teaches philosophy of medicine and medical ethics on undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. He is also a visiting lecturer at Zurich University. Before starting his studies at Frankfurt University and Free University Berlin, he worked with people with intellectual disabilities and mental illnesses.
