Alun-Wyn is a Welsh International player and former student of Swansea University. He is the current Ospreys captain, has captained his country and has three caps for the British and Irish Lions. He played for Swansea University in the 2006 Varsity match. His bond with the University is great with him contributing in coaching the side.
Having played for the University through his Academic career Tal became the first player to play for all 4 Welsh regions whilst making a name for himself on the World 7s tournaments. Tal subsequently won the 7s World Cup with Wales.
A former Varsity cap of the successful 2007 team, Jonathan played with other Ospreys Ben Lewis and Daniel Lloyd Jones against future team mate Tom Smith. Jonathan has played for Wales and the Ospreys and continues to follow the current University team
Dafydd went on from University to carve an extremely successful international career with Wales and the British and Irish Lions.
Steffan is a fresher with the University having recently played for Wales U18 on their recent tour of South Africa. Steffan also plays for Llanelli in the Welsh Premiership.
Former Welsh captain and holder of the record for the longest penalty kick, Paul was part of one of the most successful Welsh teams by securing third place in the inaugural World Cup. Paul continues his relationship with the University as he now is Chairman of the Welsh Varsity group.
Rob Howley is a former student and Honorary Fellow of the University having played for the British and Irish Lions and captained Wales. Rob has coached the British and Irish Lions and is currently the Welsh team’s Head Coach.
Current Sport Science student Sam is an exciting prospect playing his rugby with the Ospreys. Having broken into the team at the tail end of 11/12 season Sam was unfortunately withdrawn from the 2012 Varsity team in order to play for the Ospreys.
Rhys is a former Varsity captain who played for Wales at 16, 18 and 20 level before signing professionally with the Scarlets and then Bristol rugby.
Saman is a current student and current captain of the Luxemberg National side.
