Overview of CHEMRI research centre

The Centre for Health and Environmental Management Research and Innovation (CHEMRI) at Swansea University brings together academics and researchers with an interest in the study and management of environmental impacts on human health and wellbeing.

The members have wide ranging expertise in healthcare research and innovation, environmental management, data modelling and large-scale analytics, wellbeing and human behaviour.

Key areas of interest for the Centre are: developing affordable environmental technology solutions and their adoption; environmental data acquisition and disease outcome modelling; healthcare innovation strategies and interventions; respiratory disease management; environment and societal behavioural change.

Members work closely with local government, healthcare providers and other external organizations to carry out quantitative and qualitative analyses for improving the management of health and wellbeing. Members also have strong collaborations with other schools and colleges within the university as well as external partners. The Centre links strategically to a number of University spin-out companies assisting innovation and R&D efforts and output.
