Wharton Research Database System (WRDS)

Wharton Research Data Services (WRDS) is the leading research platform and business intelligence tool for corporate, academic, government and nonprofit clients across multiple disciplines including Accounting, Banking, Economics, Finance, and Statistics. School of Management subscribes to a number of databases via WRDS including Compustat, Bank Regulatory, CUSIP, Federal Reserve Bank, OTC Markets, Dow Jones and many more.

Compustat

Accessed via WRDS, Compustat offers North American fundamental and market data for more than 30,000 active and inactive publicly held companies. The data include thousands of income statements, balance sheets, statements of cash flows, and supplemental data items, as well as indices, industry segments, market prices, dividends, and earnings data.

China Stock Market and Accounting Research (CSMAR)

CSMAR provides a wealth of data on Chinese companies as well as financial markets. A number of different databases are available within CSMAR, including analyst forecasts, M&As, equity prices, and information on company directors etc.

SNL Financial

The SNL Financial database (with the web based interface and an Excel Add-in) covers banks and thrifts, insurance, real estate, energy and media & communication companies. Coverage includes more than 3,300 public companies and over 50,000 private companies in North America, with international coverage expanding every year. A host of customisable analytical tools are available including valuation, peer and M&A models.

Zephyr

Zephyr is a comprehensive database that provides detailed information on 1.1 million competed, announced and rumoured deals (M&A, IPO and private equity deals) worldwide.

FAME

FAME is a database that contains information for 2.8 million companies in the UK and Ireland. 1.9 million of these firms are in a detailed format typically including contact information, activity details, details of holdings and subsidiaries, financial statements, credit score/rating and price information (for listed firms) etc.

Thomson Reuters Eikon

Thomason Reuters Eikon provides financial professionals with access to monitor and analyse real time news, market data, fundamentals and analytics from more than 400 exchanges and OTC-traded markets.
