School of Management MSc Finance student, Cicely Griffiths, was recently presented with a Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) Education Trust Award for achieving the highest average mark of her programme.

CISI is the leading professional body for securities, investment, wealth and financial planning professional, and the CISI Educational Trust Awards celebrate the highest standards of work amongst university finance students studying for a CISI exam, alongside academic studies.

This Award is bestowed annually to one student at each of the 23 CISI accredited universities with the nomination submitted by the lecturer. For achieving the highest average mark across mid-term assignments and exams, Cicely was awarded £1,000.

Cicely said, ‘I was very pleasantly surprised at hearing of this award, particularly as I was nominated by my lecturer. So far, I have really enjoyed the course and am finding it very interesting. I look forward to going into a career in the financial services after University. We are offered to study for a CISI accreditation alongside the course and I am hoping it will make me stand out to employers.’
