Swansea Bay Conference - Marina to Mumbles
Free conference and workshop for businesses, organisations and anyone with an interest in Swansea TUESDAY 20 SEPTEMBER 2011, 9AM-4PM, SWANSEA UNIVERSITY
Swansea Bay stretches from SA1 to Mumbles and is a major attraction. The development of its economic potential, improvements in water quality and ease of access are at the forefront of plans to enhance the status of Swansea Bay. Simultaneously, the Bay’s natural beauty and its important marine and coastal wildlife and habitats need protection.
You are invited to join us for a one day seminar to learn about the ecology of the Bay as well as current and future developments. Representatives from the City and County of Swansea, The Environment Agency and the SEACAMS project at Swansea University will present aspects of Swansea Bay relevant to everyone with an interest (commercial or otherwise) in this outstanding area. There will also be the opportunity to contribute to the preparation of a management plan for the Bay.
Presentations will include:
- Wildlife and conservation
- Swansea Bay Strategy and Tourism proposals,
- Water quality
- History, archaeology and industrial heritage
- Swansea Bay Management Plan
