Welcome and Enrolment Week 2017

Welcome and Enrolment Week 2017

Dear Student,

It gives me great pleasure to extend a warm greeting to both new and returning students of the College of Science. It’s an extremely exciting time to be part of Science @ Swansea. While most of you are studying a particular subject area offered by the College, you are part of an even bigger and growing endeavour. Science @ Swansea is a community – your community – that is working with purpose and impact to change the world for the better.

The College brings together the Departments of Biosciences, Computer Science, Chemistry, Geography, Mathematics and Physics in an environment that enables us to collaborate in enhancing our teaching and research environment, and to undertake initiatives that provide new and challenging opportunities for you.

During this coming year, make sure you make time to take part in the talks, events and initiatives that we are developing to build up our the wider community of Science. As well as the stunning Science Central in the Wallace Building, opened last year, there are a number of other new Science collaboration spaces across the campus that you should look out for. Each of these are places to meet, network, chat and connect with other students and staff across the College: come and visit!

Our Student Ambassadors will also be available to welcome you during the Welcome Fair
