Research Internships in Geography

The internships are open to all Swansea University undergraduate students (including those graduating Summer 2012).

SALT Research Internships offer a unique opportunity for undergraduate students to experience real research projects and get exposure to the whole research process.  You will learn valuable new skills and how to employ them to tackle challenging, real-life practical problems.  As an intern you can expect to be working with high calibre PhD students and academic staff on exciting and innovative research projects.

The SALT Research Internship programme is only open to Swansea University Students. You will be supported by a payment of £185 per week while you are on the placement.

The internships are open to all Swansea University undergraduate students (including those graduating Summer 2012).

To apply for an internship please send the following information in an email to salt@swansea.ac.uk:

  • a current copy of your CV
  • a covering letter explaining why you wish to do a research internship, clearly stating the placement you are interested in and what you feel you would bring to the role for which you are applying

The deadline for applications is Tuesday 12th June 2012. We must receive your application by then. SALT will then forward your letters and CVs on to the relevant academic departments, who will shortlist and complete the application process, including interviews.

They will have appointed by Friday 22nd June.
