Fantastic wildlife off the Gower coast
There has been an active pod of Common Dolphins in the sea off the South Gower coast throughout most of the summer and are seen regularly off Port Eynon point. But now, not surprisingly, they are putting in appearances in Swansea Bay. A pod of 6 – 10 dolphins were spotted in the bay from Crymlyn Burrows.
Sandwich terns and common terns are regularly spotted along the shores of Swansea Bay. Terns look superficially like gulls but they are much more elegant, particularly in flight, and have forked tails. Some people call them sea swallows.
