Professor Rory Wilson’s work on the movement of animals is reported in the June edition of Wired.co.uk. It features the Daily Diary which has been developed by Professor Wilson, Department of Biosciences. The battery-powered device is attached to the animal and comprises a geomagnetic sensor and accelerometer, a GPS device and detectors for data such as temperature, light, humidity and air or water pressure.
