Interns experience most aspects of banking from cashier dealing with the public, to "behind the scenes" checking room, foreign currency transactions and many other aspects of banking; the intern moves onwards and upwards to managerial duties.
HSBC is an long established international bank which offers interns experience in most aspects of banking, from cashier upwards.
Interns observe banking practices in local branches and the corporate office and have contact with the general public. Interns should ideally have an interest in financial affairs; the ability to mix well; a willingness to learn and acquire skills; an awareness of information technology and basic computer skills; and should be able to adapt to new environments.

Accountancy
Interns are based at small private practices with opportunities to observe accountancy procedures within the UK. Depending on previous experience, interns may be attached to a company client off-site.
