Swansea's main public art gallery with a permanent exhibition of paintings and world renowned Swansea pottery. The Gallery hosts visiting exhibitions from around the world and has its own restoration studio. Projects run by the Gallery emphasise its integration with the local community, especially in relation to education. Interns should specify their particular areas of interest in relation to the art world.

The oldest museum in Wales housing artefacts from around the world, including an ancient Egyptian mummy, and closer to home, highly collectible Swansea ceramics. Interns gain experience of behind-the-scenes work involved running an important regional museum. Would suit Museum Studies or History majors.

The National Waterfront Museum offers students an opportunity to gain an overview of one of wales' most innovative museums. The museum traces the natural history of Wales and allows visitors to expore its industrial heritage. Suitable for History and Social Sciences majors.

The Egypt Center at Swansea University houses an interesting collection of Egyptian artifacts. This placement offers the intern student the opportunity to appricate the significance of this collection in the local community. Suibale for History and Archeology majors.

An independent organisation providing an archaeological service for the communities of South East Wales. Main areas of experience for interns include Sites & Monuments Records; Development Control; Fieldwork; Artifact Cataloguing & Analysis; Archaeological Illustration.

Intern would help with duites in Swansea's central library.
