The Dylan Thomas Centre and University of Wales Press present an evening of poetry, music and discussion to mark the centenary of R.S. Thomas' birth, on Thursday, 18 April at 7pm at the Dylan Thomas Centre.

At the event, Swansea University's Professor M. Wynn Thomas, the executor of Thomas' unpublished literary estate will launch his new book, R.S. Thomas: Serial Obsessive;  Bangor University's Professor Tony Brown will discuss the newly-released edition of R.S. Thomas' Uncollected Poems, which he has edited with Jason Walford Davies; and Christine Kinsey, who will give a brief illustrated discussion of R.S. Thomas’ influence on her art.

There will also be specially commissioned contemporary responses to Thomas' work in poetry and music from Menna Elfyn, Peter Finch, Jeremy Hooker, Grahame Davies, Professor Tudur Hallam, Brian Breeze, Margot Morgan and others.
