‘History, Heritage, and Urban Regeneration' Conference a Success

A bright and crisp autumn morning on 14 October greeted locals and visitors to the National Waterfront Museum, situated in the heart of Swansea’s Maritime Quarter for the Copper Project’s first public event: a symposium on History, Heritage and Urban Regeneration.  Amongst the delegates and participants were scholars, museum curators, archivists, librarians, archaeologists, town planners, lawyers, representatives from the construction industry, funders, and several members of the local communities of the region. The day sought to explore how history and heritage, particularly of our industrial past, can help inform creative and sustainable regeneration.
